I’ve partnered up with a local artist to do a giveaway for two of her adorable headbands!  You may notice some of her headbands because I have them in my studio for newborn girl props! Up for grabs is the cream-colored, rolled satin, flower with pearl button headband. This can be made in any size, newborn, child, teen or adult (shown above). The other item is anything of your choice from her etsy shop! (http://www.etsy.com/shop/BoutiqueByK) It’s simple to enter. Just head on over to her facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/BoutiqueByK), “like” her page and then leave a comment here on my blog saying you did. Its that easy! Oh and if you aren’t already a Studio127 Photography fan then ya got to do that too (https://www.facebook.com/studio127photography).  I will use a random number generator to pick the winner and will post the winner a week from today (July 19th).  Thanks to all my fans for your support, I hope you will also support this local artist in her newly established business.  Best of luck everyone!

I selfishly don’t want to tell anyone about this giveaway in hopes that the less people who enter means a better chance for me to win! But because I get an extra vote I’m gonna share it all with you! She’s my all time favorite newborn photographer!

This weeks photo (okay last weeks because I’m a little behind) from my 52 week project was “size/scale”. So I found Amelia wearing mommy’s dress shoes very appropriate for that theme! Oh to be a kid again!

52 Week Project – Beginning: Here is my 2nd image under the category “Beginning” Its the beginning of our vacation fund!

Hubby got a tattoo yesterday and I followed along to photograph his adventure. This was a lot of fun for me because as you all know I do a lot of children and family so this was something very unique. Enjoy the photos!

So I’ve decided to take on a 52 week photography project to help me grow as a photographer.  There will be a new topic every week and I will take a photograph in that topic and post it here.  This weeks theme was “beginning”.  For my picture I decided I was going to begin using my macro lens more often.  I’ve seen some really cool macro shots and have always wanted to do them but have never made the time.  My macro lens has maybe been taken out of the bag 3 times this whole year.  So this is to new beginnings with my dear unused macro lens!  — This is a picture of a snow flake on our back deck.  I thought this would be a lot easier than it was.  The snowflakes were melting fast and piling up on top of each other.  My little fingers were freezing and I was shaking so I know the focus isn’t 100%, but here is to pushing myself to learn more and grow!

Welcome to my new blog! Its the new year and I’m excited for some new things. I will be posting recent sessions here, some of my personal life via my camera and also any specials or discounts. Check back often and contact me if you’d like to book an appointment!
