June 20, 2010I had mentioned earlier this year that I was accepted as a volunteer photographer with Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep (NILMDTS). I don’t typically share any photos from these sessions due to respect for the parents. Last week I got a call to Riverside to photograph a little, baby girl who at 38 weeks was born still. All cases are extremely different I’ve found and I connect to each case completely different. For whatever reason this case was extremely touching to me and the feelings of remorse I had for the parents is unexplainable. If I could only take away their pain I would in a heartbeat. I can’t though but what I can do is provide them with beautiful images of their daughter that I hope can bring them comfort and peace in this difficult time. This organization truly touches my heart and I’d love for there to be more recognition of it for those other families that lose their babies. That is why I am posting this image (with approval of the parents) and asking all of you that know someone who may be in this situation to tell them of this free service. June 16, 2010“Sometimes”, said Pooh, “the smallest things take up the most room in your heart.” — One more sneak peek while I catch up on all my editing. This is my best friends baby I photographed this evening. Early on in her pregnancy they weren’t sure if he was going to make it and gave her the option of abortion or sticking it out. I can’t imagine the toughness of that decision but here he is at one week old. So tiny and such a miracle! Congrats!

April 17, 2010Yep, you may have guessed it…meet baby Rose. Just two weeks old! I’ve been loving all the newborns I’ve had lately. She was an angel and slept pretty much for the whole photo shoot. She even managed to pee on Daddy…that usually happens at every newborn session I do!
Someone has a new baby sister!
April 15, 2010Meet Issac and his new baby sister Ada (just 6 days old). Ada was the most perfect newborn. She slept through her entire first photo shoot just as she was suppose to. She did however take a little break to pee on Daddy but continued to sleep right through that as well!

March 25, 2010Meet BEAUTIFUL Alaina! One week new! Although I had some technical equipment failure during this shoot we were still able to capture a couple good shots…be on the lookout for the sequel to this session as we are hopefully doing a reshoot tomorrow!

8 Week Old Ethan
March 4, 2010Sneak peek at the adorable 8 week old Ethan. Had quite a few laughs during this session. Ethan managed to pee on his daddy twice and also spit up on him! Oh, the things we put up with for that “perfect” shot!
My New Niece!
February 28, 2010Just wanted to show off my new niece, Nora. We went to visit last night and of course I had to bring my camera along! Her Mom and Dad let me do a few shots so I wanted to share. 
6 days old here! Oh and yes I put her on a bookshelf, what is wrong with that?!
